Flatbread company is a (local) chain. However unlike most chains, they have more of a local focus. Flatbread seems to pride themselves on using locally produced foods. As a result all of their food tastes really fresh and is very delicious. Typically we order pizza to go, but it’s nice to eat in as well. They have an open kitchen so you can see the pizzas being made which is fun.

I had a delicious drink, but didn’t remember to take a picture of the menu so I’m not absolutely sure as to the name or specific contents. It was a blueberry lemonade made with their fresh lemonade and a blueberry liquor. I wish I knew the specifics but will have to check next time we go in. It was excellent; not too sweet but not too sour or acidic either. Yum! Their beer selection includes a handful of local craft beers. The boyfriend seemed happy with his choice.

The pizza is made in a wood fire, clay oven. It is the perfect combination of thin crust but just thick enough to get a great wood fired dough flavor. Our favorite pizza here is Jimmy’s Free-Range Chicken. Jimmy’s Free-Range Chicken has Oven roasted free-range chicken, black beans, organic cilantro, tomatoes, roasted corn, whole milk mozzarella and Parmesan cheese and topped with a spoonful of sour cream, a lime wedge and optional jalapeño peppers (we always opt out).

When there are only two of us we always have leftovers, which are packaged up artfully to look like a swan.
