Dave and I would love to have a small farm one day. Nothing huge, just a couple animals (goats, chickens, etc). We love VT. So for our second anniversary we decided to combine those things and spend a weekend at a farm in VT. We found an incredible small farm that was a perfect match – Trevin Farms!

Trevin Farms is primarily a goat farm. They also have chickens, ducks, and even a pig! The owner, Troy Peabody, was a chef in Boston before starting the farm. His food was amazing! As part of our package we learned to make goat cheese, had a cooking class, two breakfasts, and one dinner. Stay tuned for a full review of our entire weekend.

Each morning as a first course, we were served warm muffins. They were the best muffins Dave and I have ever tasted. Troy wouldn’t give out the recipes, so in order to try the world’s best muffins you will have to stay at Trevin Farms.Troy has a rotation of muffins. While we were there we got to try a blueberry muffin and a corn muffin served with strawberry jam.

This was one of the coolest weekend trips we’ve taken. It was great for someone who loves animals, farm to table, or a foodie looking for a unique experience. Stay tuned for more details from our weekend!
